Idol Worship

It’s actually quite popular to worship different idols in Hong Kong. At first, idol-worshipping is a good event to set a target to learn with. Yet, Hong Kong teenagers contort the original meaning of idol-worshipping. They follow the trend blindly, and even do something ‘extraordinary’ (you can say ‘mad’).
In my opinion, teenagers should choose their idol wisely, since this leading card will lead the teenager as long as the worship continues. As you know, during puberty teenagers learn more, and gradually develop a mature intellect. If a teenager accidently chooses a bad idol, he/she may also be affected. Imagine while a boy is growing up, and suddenly a devil cuts in and pollutes the boy’s mind. The boy will be influenced, difficult to change, to pull himself from the hell.
I have idols too, but I don’t WORSHIP them, I will just ADMIRE their merits, and that’s all. I have idols like basketball players or pop singers, and I choose a correct, appropriate attitude to adore idols, not to have an excessive worship. It is definitely important to admire idols with a proper medium.

通識 - 偶像崇拜

Many students in Hong Kong are likely to adore the idols and stars, then it might affect their studies. Sometimes, these students might also buy the things which are related to their idols or stars, such as CD album and their photos. If they don't have enough money, they will use some ways to steal money, so they might become a thief.
I think the people that have contribution to the society , like teacher, inventor and writer...... are the idols that we should adore. Because these people can give us inspiration, so the students could have contribution when they grow up.

Q.5) The idols and stars do not agree the young people adore them, because chasing a start with no reason is not a good habit, it will affect their studies.

Q.6) They think the young people need to make their idols and stars as part of their learning aim, to learn their good and bad. In order to make themselves a better one. They should not addicted to it, if they could make a balance, it can be a good source of releasing pressure.^_^

Q5.) Both stars and celebrities agree that teenagers should worship idols with a CORRECT ATTITUDE, simultaneously not affecting their own lifestyle.
Q6.) Stars and celebrities think that when teenagers want to follow their own idols, they should have a clear target for learning from the selected idols, since if a teenager has an idol to be imitated and followed, he/she can perform a correction on his/her past mistakes.
On the other hand, they approve that blindly worshipping idols is absolutely not good for moral health, but just wasting time and money. Not to overdo idol-worshipping is Extremely Important, according to a pop-singer, because if a teenager concentrate on learning from the idol, he/she can entrust to the care of idol worshipping, handing his/her own way in their life.
At last, idol worshipping can actually alleviate personal pressure, too! Since while worshipping an idol, you can enjoy the process of worshipping. ^_^

Q1.) Pop singers, actors or athletes are mainly the idols among teenagers.
Q2.) The selected idols usually attract teenagers with their handsomeness, beautiful voice or fabulous achievements. There must be something special about the idol in order to attract more and more followers.

我認為偶像祟拜是有利與弊。現時大部份年青人只盲目追星,更有些人荒廢學業,為了目睹偶像一采.我認為追星是可以的,但不可以過份沈迷,影響日常生活。^-^
